San Antonio woman dies following southside pedestrian accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman who was struck by a car south of downtown San Antonio Thursday has died from her injuries.

According to KTSA, the unidentified 60-year-old woman was struck by a pickup truck within the intersection of Probandt Street and West Theo Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. The driver remained at the scene and attempted CPR on the victim until paramedics arrived.

The victim was rushed to BAMC where she succumbed to her injuries shortly after.

Officials do not believe any charges will be brought against the driver who had a green light at the time of the crash.

San Antonio pedestrian critically injured in West Side crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle west of downtown San Antonio early Wednesday morning.

According to KSAT, police responded to the crash at the intersection of Zarzamora Street and West Martin Street at about 12:30 a.m.

Witness accounts say the man was standing in the middle of the intersection facing away from traffic when he was struck by a Lexus ES300. The driver told officers he did not see the man while driving through the green light.

The victim was rushed to University Hosptial to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. No charges are expected to be filed at this time.

San Antonio pedestrian killed after being struck by Hummer

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio woman was killed after being hit by a Hummer while attempting to cross a dark street early Tuesday morning.

According to My San Antonio, 61-year-old Terry Ann Rowland was hit while attempting to cross in the 7700 block of Culebra Road just after 6:00 a.m. Police say she was not in a designated crosswalk at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Hummer remained at the scene and rendered assistance to the victim. No charges are being filed against him at this time.

An official investigation into the crash remains underway as of Tuesday afternoon.

Teen dies after being struck on West Side Highway

SAN ANTONIO, TX – An 18-year-old man is dead after an auto vs. pedestrian accident in San Antonio Wednesday night.

According to My San Antonio, the victim darted out in front of traffic along Loop 410 near Marbach Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. A female driver struck the man without having time to maneuver her vehicle out of the way.

The victim was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. Information regarding why he ran into oncoming traffic is still under investigation.

No charges have been filed against the driver involved at this time.

Pedestrian in critical condition after San Antonio crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man was hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a pickup truck northwest of downtown Tuesday morning.

According to KSAT, the man was attempting to cross Marbach Road at about 11:30 a.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck near the intersection with Horal Drive.

He was transported to University Hospital to be treated for a potentially life-threatening head injury.

The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Pedestrian killed after being hit by pickup truck in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in southwest San Antonio Thursday night.

According to My San Antonio, the incident happened within the 3900 block of Southwest Military Drive shortly after 10:00 p.m. The driver of the truck called police to the scene after he struck the man who, was reportedly standing in the middle of the roadway.

Police believe the truck driver did not notice the man standing in the road as he came over the top of a hill.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed against the truck driver at this time.

Victim identified in fatal San Antonio pedestrian crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Officials in San Antonio have identified the individual killed in a late-night accident northeast of downtown Tuesday.

According to KSAT, 42-year-old Pablo Hernandez was struck by a pickup truck while trying to cross the street within the 1000 block of Culebra Road shortly before 11:00 p.m.

Police believe Hernandez ignored the crosswalk sign when he was hit. However, the driver of the truck still failed to stop and help the victim following the crash.

Pedestrian killed trying to cross San Antonio freeway

SAN ANTONIO, TX – San Antonio police have identified the man killed while attempting to walk across lanes of Loop 410 Saturday night.

According to KSAT, 64-year-old Alviar Ambrociosolis was struck and killed by a vehicle when he was trying to cross eastbound lanes of the freeway near Airlift Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.

The diver involved in the crash insists they did not notice the man trying to cross the lanes until immediately before hitting him. They remained at the scene of the crash to render aid to the man who died shortly after.

The driver will likely not face any charges as the crash as been ruled an accident.

Driver hits pedestrian after brake failure in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A pedestrain was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle along the  Poteet Jourdanton Freeway Thursday night.

According to KENS, the driver of the car attempted to stop at the intersection of Poteet Jourdanton Freeway and Villaret Boulevard shortly after 10:30 p.m.

The driver’s brakes malfunctioned causing him to coast through the red light and into a pedestrian crossing the road. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Charges are not expected to be filed against the driver in this case.
