Three people taken to hospital after Montopolis car accident

AUSTIN, TX – Three people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle car accident in the Montopolis area this morning, according to a tweet by the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened around 5817 E Riverside Drive, near the intersection with Grove Boulevard, when two vehicles collided just after 10 a.m. One person was trapped within the wreckage for about 15 minutes while authorities worked to extricate them.

The trapped patient and another victim in the crash were taken to St. David’s South as trauma alerts with potentially serious injuries. Another person was taken to Dell Seton Hospital with what ATCEMS described as a “potentially serious medical condition.”

The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.

Rush-hour causes delays at busy South Austin intersection

AUSTIN, TX – Authorities in South Austin responded to a rush-hour accident that closed down at least one lane on Manchaca Road Monday evening.

The incident occurred just south of the intersection of Manchaca Rd. and West William Cannon Drive at around 5:42 p.m., according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the collision yet. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around this portion of Manchaca Rd. while the accident can be investigated and cleared from the roadway.

Neighborhood street closed due to afternoon crash

AUSTIN, TX – Officials in Austin responded to an accident that shut down a residential street just south of downtown Friday afternoon.

South Austin police were forced to shut down a portion of Greenridge Terrace of South Congress following a crash Friday afternoon, according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page.

Information regarding what may have caused the crash has not yet been made available to the public as of yet. Greedridge Ter. has since reopened.
