One injured in Menchaca Rd motorcycle accident

AUSTIN, TX – One person was taken to the hospital following a motorcycle accident yesterday on Menchaca Road in south Austin, according to the official Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 5500 block of Menchaca Road, when a vehicle and a motorcycle collided.

An unidentified adult was taken to the hospital with “potentially serious” injuries, according to ATCEMS.

The identity of the victim and the circumstances of the crash have not been released at this time.

Motorcyclist seriously injured in Gilbert Rd accident

AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist was seriously injured early this morning in a single-vehicle collision in Hornsby Bend, according to the official Twitter account of the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of Gilbert, according to ATCEMS.

The unidentified victim was declared a trauma alert and taken to Dell Medical Center with injuries deemed to be serious and potentially life-threatening.

There is no information available at this time regarding the cause of the crash.

One dead in motorcycle accident in NW Austin

AUSTIN, TX – One person died Sunday afternoon in an accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in northwest Austin, according to the official Austin-Travis County EMS Twitter account.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m. near the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 2222 and City Park Road when a car and a motorcycle collided. The unidentified motorcyclist was then ejected from the vehicle.

Though CPR was performed on the victim, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene before 5:40 p.m.

ATCEMS advised motorists to avoid the area if possible due to extended traffic delays for the cleanup and investigation of the accident.
