2 Seriously injured in South Austin collision

AUSTIN, TX – Emergency services in South Austin responded to a collision Wednesday morning which resulted in multiple people being hospitalized in critical condition.

According to KXAN, the crash happened within the intersection of West William Cannon Drive and Menchaca Road shortly after 8 a.m. Officials with Austin-Travis County EMS extracted one individual who was trapped inside a vehicle as a result of the collision.

Two victims were transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center to be treated for potentially life-threatening injuries.

Details regarding the cause of the collision have not yet been released. We will continue to monitor this ongoing situation and provide further developments as they are made available by South Austin Police.

Urgent crash reported south of downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – South Austin officials have reported delays resulting from a late-night collision in Riverside Tuesday.

The crash occurred within the 4400 block of East Riverside Drive at about 9:50 p.m. near the intersection with South Pleasant Valley Road, according to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page.

Officials have not yet released word of any injuries sustained as a result of the crash. However, motorists have been advised to avoid the area throughout Thursday night while it is investigated and cleared from the roadway.
