NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – Fire officials in New Braunfels responded to a car erupting in flames while parked at a shopping center on Monday.
The fire occurred in the parking lot outside of Spec’s Wines, Spirits, and Finer Foods just off of Interstate 35, according to News 4 San Antonio.
No injuries were sustained as a result of the blaze and New Braunfels Fire Department was able to extinguish it promptly. Details regarding why the vehicle burst into flames have not yet been made available.

AUSTIN, TX – An accident on US highway 183 caused major traffic jams at the intersection with I-35 Sunday.
According to KXAN, the incident occurred on southbound 183, forcing officials to close down all lanes on that half of the freeway. Authorities believe the cause of the accident was related to a vehicle fire.
The southbound lanes have since been cleared and no injuries have been reported as a result of the crash or fire.
