2 Hospitalized following West Austin crash

AUSTIN, TX – Two individuals were rushed to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash west of Austin Tuesday evening.

According to the official Twitter page of Austin – Travis County EMS, the collision occurred within the 10555 block of SH 71 at about 6:41 a.m.

Officials extracted one patient who was pinned inside of their vehicle and transported them to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Another person involved was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center to be treated for potentially serious injuries.

Details regarding the cause of the crash have not yet been released.  We will continue to monitor this ongoing situation for any developments.

Crash reported at Mount Bonnell Park

AUSTIN, TX – Officials west of Austin have responded to a late-night collision along Mount Bonnell Road Wednesday night.

According to the Austin-Travis County traffic report page, the incident occurred at 3800 Mt. Bonnell Rd., just outside the entrance to Mt. Bonnell Park at about 10:17 p.m.

Authorities have not reported any injuries as a result of the crash. However, motorists are being advised to avoid the area throughout Wednesday night as delays and closures are likely while the crash is under investigation.
