One dead, two injured in high-speed collision in NW San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One man was killed in northwest San Antonio last night in a speeding-related crash that also sent two other people to the hospital.

According to KSAT,  the accident occurred near the intersection of Rouse Avenue and Culebra Road at about 11:45 p.m. when a driver of a pickup truck lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the center line and into oncoming traffic where it collided with an SUV and a taxi.

The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene of the crash.

The operators of the cab and the SUV were sent to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

According to investigators, the pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident happened.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.

San Antonio Police search for suspects involved in a train accident

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Law Enforcement officials in San Antonio are seeking any information that may lead to an identification of four individuals who fled the scene of a train crash Thursday night.

According to My San Antonio, the crash occurred within the area of Loop 410 and Farm to Market Road 78 when an SUV attempting to exit the freeway collided with a moving train. Witnesses say four people were seen fleeing the scene on foot immediately following the crash.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash. However, the exit was shut down for several hours so the wreckage could be cleared from the roadway.

San Antonio man injured following violent crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio are reporting a hospitalized driver who sustained injuries after crashing into multiple structures Monday night.

According to KSAT, the 21-year-old man drove collided with a car wash, bus stop, and telephone pole before coming to a stop along Nogalitos Street around 11:00 p.m.

The driver alerted officials by pounding on and shattering the glass window of a fire station. He is said to have been impaired by some type of substance.

Information regarding the condition of the man involved has not yet been released. No charges have been filed as of yet.

18-wheeler crash closes lanes on I-35

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Emergency Services in San Antonio were forced to shut down southbound lanes along Interstate-35 following a Monday morning semi-truck collision.

The incident happened before 7:00 a.m. Monday along I-35 northeast of downtown San Antonio at Farm to Market Road 1103.

According to News 4 San Antonio, a small car collided with the truck along the freeway. Paramedics transported one patient to a local hospital. No word on their condition or what may have caused the collision has been released. 

The southbound lanes on this portion of I-35 have since reopened.

Driver injured while doing donuts in San Antonio Parking lot

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One person was injured after attempting to donuts in the parking lot in San Antonio’s South Side early Friday morning.

According to News 4 San Antonio, the incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. when one vehicle collided with another in a lot on Grosvenor Street off of Southwest Military Drive. The area is well known by local racers as a place to attempt tricks and other racing activities.

One driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released. Both vehicles involved sustained serious damage as a result. No word on if any charges are being filed in relation to the incident.

Man injured in suspected alcohol-related accident in N San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was injured early Saturday morning on the North Side of San Antonio in a rollover crash that possibly involved drinking and driving, according to a report by KSAT.

The accident happened near the intersection of Thousand Oaks Drive and Jones Maltsberger Road at about 4 a.m. when the unidentified victim lost control of his speeding SUV.

The vehicle rolled over multiple times and caused several non-life-threatening injuries.

While authorities believe the driver may have been drinking prior to the accident, they have not yet filed charges against him.

Two injured in T-bone crash in North San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Two people were hurt Saturday in a car accident in the North Side of San Antonio. One received life-threatening injuries in the collision.

KSAT reports that the accident happened in the afternoon at the intersection of Calico Landing and Blanco Road when one driver was hit in a T-bone collision by a second driver.

Both drivers were sent to the hospital following the crash, one of them suffering critical injuries and the other minor ones.

SAPD Officer injured in two-vehicle crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A police officer was injured after a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday night in the downtown area, sources report.

The officer was traveling with two other policemen southbound on Pecos La Trinidad when they were struck at an intersection by a sedan driving eastbound on Dolorosa.

Both the driver of the sedan and the officer claim they had a green light.

One of the officers was transported to a nearby hospital for medial attention.

All other individuals involved in the accident were uninjured.

Hit-and-run driver caught with narcotics

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One person has been arrested and another was hospitalized after a hit-and-run, Kens 5 reports.

Authorities arrived to the scene at the intersection of Martin and Navarro shortly after midnight on May 30.

There was two damaged cars, a damaged VIA bus, and an unconscious pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on the ground.

A driver of a silver sedan hit a VIA bus near the intersection of Navarro and Travis and fled the scene. When attempting to speed away, the same sedan t-boned another vehicle.

When police searched the silver sedan, they found five firearms, ammo, and narcotics. The driver was arrested.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Woman faces possible charges after killing man in San Antonio wrong-way crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man was killed in a wrong-way crash early this morning on the North Side of San Antonio, according to a report from KSAT.

The crash occurred on Loop 1604 and Lockhill Selma Road early this morning around 2 a.m.

The accident happened whenever Mariana Campos-Jimenez, 20, was driving in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of Loop 1604. She hit a man driving an SUV head-on near Lockhill Selma Road.

There is no information at this time regarding the identity of the victim, who was dead when authorities arrived.

Campos-Jimenez was taken into custody for a possible charge of intoxicated manslaughter.

According to the report, authorities closed the eastbound lanes of 1604 for a few hours after the accident.
